Plot #63, Roseville Community Garden<\/a>, August 2, 2015.<\/p><\/div>\n

This week I’ve begun preparation for the ‘second season’ in the garden. The green beans \u2013 which had maxed out in their production over a week ago \u2013 have been pulled, as have the zucchini & yellow squash plants. They’ll be replanted for a second crop, as well as some additional beets and kohlrabi. The seeds arrived today from Johnny’s Selected Seeds<\/a> for the fall crops of Bolero carrots<\/a>, Carioca lettuce<\/a> and Nero Tondo radishes<\/a> \u2013 they’ll all be in the ground by week’s end!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a look at what I harvested last week, and what I did Saturday to make sure I can enjoy the fruits of the garden over the winter. Plus, some more beautiful garden flowers images!<\/p>\n
