Save Rural Andover Borough
"Save Rural Andover Borough," is a people-oriented, close-knit group of citizens, dedicated to preserving the small-town charm and ideals of Andover Borough, a tiny hamlet of about 260 homes and just over 650 people, located on State Route 206 in southern Sussex County, New Jersey.
Concerned Citizens Against Quarry
Grinnell Enterprises, a local sand and gravel company, is proposing to expand quarry operations into the scenic residential Lake Grinnell neighborhood area. “Concerned Citizens Against Quarry” is a community based group formed to stop the expansion and opposes any activities that threaten the lake community and environment.

Skylands Clean
Founded in 1987, Skylands CLEAN, Inc. works in the public interest to promote good government and protect the environment, quality of life, and essential character of the New Jersey Highlands region. Serving Ringwood and West Milford, they are issue-oriented and non-partisan; their activities are not based on politics or party affiliation, and made up primarily of volunteers without whose support and work their efforts would not be possible.
Pequannock River Coalition
Regarded by many as the "Heart of the Highlands," the Pequannock watershed provides critical water supplies to more than half-a-million New Jersey citizens and serves as a refuge for sensitive wildlife from otters and eagles to bears and bobcats. Yet this vital river system is in jeopardy. From the rugged headwaters on threatened Hamburg Mountain to the rich flood plains of eastern Morris County, the Pequannock is at the forefront of suburban sprawl, facing spiraling demands for land and water. Throughout our history the Pequannock River Coalition has met these demands with a blend of expertise and enthusiasm.
New York-New Jersey Trail Conference
The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference is a federation of 104 hiking clubs and environmental organizations and 10,000 individuals dedicated to building and maintaining marked hiking trails and protecting related open space in the bi-state region. Their constituent clubs have a combined membership of over 100,000.
Tri-State Transportation Campaign
The Tri-State Transportation Campaign was formed as a response to mounting economic and environmental costs of automobile and truck dependence, including the destruction of open space by highway-driven sprawl development. The Campaign marshals the talents of the region's most effective environmental and transportation policy watchdogs into a dynamic combination of community and campaign organizing, technical analysis, and media and legal advocacy.
Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC)
ANJEC is a statewide non-profit organization that assists the efforts of environmental commissions, local officials, interested citizens, private organizations and government agencies. They support protecting natural resources through smart growth and State Plan implementation, preserving open space, protecting water resources and caring for the urban environment.
Coalition for Affordable Housing and the Environment
The Coalition for Affordable Housing and the Environment, a statewide group of thirty-five planning, environmental and housing organizations who recognize the interdependency of urban, suburban and rural communities, is working to build unique partnerships for a just and sustainable New Jersey. The Coalition’s goals are to increase affordable housing opportunities, to preserve New Jersey’s natural resources, and to rebuild cities throughout the state. Working with its members and other advocates from around the state, the Coalition crafts multi-faceted solutions that would create a New Jersey with abundant open spaces, a clean environment, healthy cities, and reasonable housing opportunities for all its citizens.
The Smarter Land Use Project
This twelve year, philanthropically funded research project has discovered new methodologies for teambuilding and project modeling that a neighborhood group can use to work with a developer and city officials to enhance a proposed land development so it improves property values, safety, and quality of life in their neighborhood.

A 19th century Morris Canal port town, is a National Historic Site. It is located along the banks of the Musconectcong River in the Allamuchy Mountain State Park in Sussex County, New Jersey. The Village, totaling over 400 acres, is managed by Waterloo Foundation for the Arts, an organization founded in 1964 by Percival Leach and Louis Gualandi.
